One Year And Counting

So the boyfriend and I recently celebrated our anniversary in Tagaytay. The main objective for our date is to get away from everything and just be carefree lads for a day. I have to say--mission accomplished!

Our breakfast for the road.

Driver for the day.

I'll take care of the souvenir shots. Hihi.

The view from Summit Ridge.

Ahh.

Feeling vacay with hunnybunch! Haha.

Seriously good food.

Nice calming effect.

Shiitake mushroom soup.

Creamy carbonara for me!

Shepherd's pie. Super yum-o!

Garden salad.

Tuna belly for mi hunny.

Burrrrrp.

Excuse the quality. I had to make adjustments.

Souvenir shot at night just before we lost PhP 800.00 in the casino. Haha.

You can't go to Tagaytay without having bulalo!

Cholesterol!

Hay nako. Shopping for souvenir shirts.
October 16. We started early by leaving Manila at 8:00AM. The South Super Highway Express had a bit of traffic but we managed to reach Tagaytay just before lunch. I researched about a good place to eat and found Bag Of Beans--recommended by a travel blogger. It was heaven! I can't get over the shepherd's pie. Imagine a generous amount of minced beef topped with mashed potato--it's practically lunch on its own. I had pasta while the boyfriend had tuna. Both were seriously good I can still taste them in my mouth. Haha. The tuna came with a garden salad. I don't eat veggies but I tasted it anyway. The dressing was superb. We also tried the casino--wherein we lost PhP 800.00 worth of chips. But no biggie since we wanted to try it anyway. Before going down, we had dinner at a bulalo place--perfect for the cool weather. Then we passed by Greenfield City just before exiting Laguna for a bit of shopping and looking around.

In a nutshell, it was the getaway we were looking for. I loved every minute of it. :)

To the boyfriend: I LOVE YOU! Thanks for this--we both needed it. Care to share how the day ended? Haha! Kidding :*

Eat. Pray. Love.

Me and my girlfriends saw this movie a week ago.

Short review: It's a very inspiring story about finding one's self but the movie had a few dragging parts, I must say. I haven't read the book yet but I can safely say that it's better than its reel version. But I labeled it still as one of the movies I'd see over and over again. The traveling parts were just so drop dead amazing.

Plus, I la-la-loved the syrupy quotes.
"It won't last forever. Nothing does."
"So miss me. Wish me light and love whenever you think of me."
"Dolce far niente: the sweetness of doing nothing." (This one I'd use for me and the boyfriend's anniversary album in FB. Hahaha.)
"Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation.” (My personal favorite!)

These are just some of them. I'd get me a copy of the book real soon.

My college loves Brizie, Iyett, Mona, Karen, Xyza and myself--all fresh from work!

Let's make it a Friday night thing!

I was finally able to wear my lace up gladiators! Fierce, no?

Goodnight!

Attraversiamo! :)

Dreamin' Of A Longchamp Pliage

I'm not a fan of super expensive or designer bags...for a number of practical reasons. Number 1, they are waaaay out of my budget range. Number 2, I'd be too afraid to use them because I know I'll ruin them sooner or later. Close friends of mine will attest to me being one of the clumsiest people on earth. Number 3, they are waaay out of my budget range. Haha. So for now, the few expensive purses I have are care of my generous aunts.

But lately, the Longchamp bag has been catching my attention. Its simplicity in design won my heart, and its durability won my wallet's heart. (It's supposed to be made out of this super strong nylon which makes the bag last.) My previous boss Tere--AKA the designer bag expert--shared to me that her Longchamp has been with her since she was 18 years old. (She's now in her early 30's.) Amazing eh?

Since my next project is a durable bag for everyday office use, I'm thinking of getting myself a Longchamp pliage tote in black. Tere said its cheapest version costs around $90 (or PhP 5,000) or so.

This one...

...or this one? Hmmm...
I want! I want! I want!

Take your pick! Hihi.

Cute design!
Gotta have 'em all.
 Fashionistas with their Longchamps!

Le sigh. I hope this project pushes through. *Ehem generous aunts!*

1 year, 12 months, 52 weeks, 365 days, 8760 hours, 525600 minutes, 315360000 seconds.

Geez, we've been together THAT long. ^^ Must be me. Haha.
Cheers, mate.
Happy Anniversary!

Girls On Fire

Chocolate, chocolate and MORE chocolate at Chocolate Fire! Yummy-o!

Thank you Gelai for the treat! Earlier that day, we went thrift shopping and I couldn't be any happier with my el cheapo finds. Sad to say though I ruined a couple of blouses in the wash. Tsk tsk. My coolest find of the day was a zip-up jacket in a bright blue hue for only PhP 20.00!

So that was how the second Saturday of the month was spent--shopping and good food and friends!

Check In

I am once again too early for work. I love this moment though--the quietness before a busy day, the relaxed aura of the office just before it hits chaos at 9 am and the feeling of ease knowing that no one can see me blogging. HAHA.

Oops I can see one of the bosses coming. Gotta go! :)

Fashion Cravings

I went on several shopping trips this weekend and was able to score a lot of el cheapo stuff but the following remains on my wishlist:

1. Skinny cargos

2. Floral blazer or cardi

3. Camel flats

4. Brown braided belt - Edit: I bought one last week! Yay! Now I want one in black. Hmmm.

But they all have to wait as I don't have moolah left to spend anymore. :(

A Saturday Of Sorts

Met with my San Miguel friends at Seafood Island in Eastwood.

Ah. I miss this.

Haha.

We bumped into Welo and Inj.

"Ano nanaman yan ha Ferrer?"
Reunion with my high school loves.

Whacked out.
The boyfriend and Troy.
Albert!

EROS!
With my shopping buddies Brizie and Inj!
Serious.
I miss Coke.
This was how I spent the first weekend of October--getting all-out drunk. Nah, not really. I met with my old friends from my first work at Seafood Island in Eastwood City. We were supposed to meet Mon's boyfriend for the first time but they got caught up with having inked they never made it. Shame. Now she's back in Tuguegarao City and God knows when she'll be back for a visit. Oh well. I had fun anyway.

Then off I went to Jerome's place for the much-awaited reunion with my high school classmates. It was a sweet turn-out--almost everyone was present. We had a grand time catching up and reminiscing the days. Haha. We're getting old.

:)

PS: By the way, I'm in a no-Coke dare with the boyfriend. The idea is to not drink Coke (or any soda) for 2 months straight and if I do that, I get a bag as a reward. Being a bag-whore, I accepted the challenge. I've been Coke-free for 14 days now. And that is why I really miss it. (Chant to self: It's in the bag. It's in the bag.) The father is happy though.
