Beautiful Liar

It’s so ironic that when I opened last month’s Cosmopolitan magazine today, the page that greeted me was Cosmo Controversy with the topic:

Would You Rather Know If Your Guy Cheated on You or Not?

The answers are all very interesting.

“I’d choose heartache over being duped. Imagine the tragedy of being in love with a jerk who’s playing around with other chicks.”

“I don’t want to play the fool. Getting my heart bruised is easier to swallow than not ever knowing the real score.”

“If he has the guts to admit what he did, it proves that he wants to save the relationship.”

“We all get burned out at some point. He has to come clean so I know whether he deserves my love or not.”

“A guy who truly values me would never cheat on me. If he did stray, I’d rather know the truth no matter how much it would hurt. That way, I can decide if the relationship is worth keeping.”

“There’s wisdom to that saying “boys will be boys.” They’re hardwired to stray. I’ll let him sort things out by himself and protect myself from unnecessary pain, too.”

“If I were in the same situation, I wouldn’t tell my boyfriend, either, and just let things run its course. The worst mistakes can happen to the best people.”

“I think everyone—male or female—is capable of being unfaithful. I don’t mind being kept in the dark, as long as he nips it in the bud and learns from his mistakes.”

Hay nako.

But I’ve made my decision and I’m going to stick with it. I just wish he keeps his promise.

Let It Fall. Let It Crash. Burn Slow.

No matter how many times that you told me you wanted to leave.
No matter how many breaths that you took you still couldn't breathe.
No matter how many nights that you lied wide awake to the sound of the poison rain.

Where did you go? Where did you go? Where did you go?

Heart beat, a heart beat, I need a... heart beat, a heart beat...

Tell me would you kill to save for a life?
Tell me would you kill to prove you're right?
Crash, crash, burn let it all burn.
This hurricane is chasing us all underground.

No matter how many deaths that I die, I will never forget.
No matter how many lifes I live, I will never regret.
There's a fire inside this heart and a riot about to explode into flames.
Where is your God? Where is your God? Where is your God? ...

Do you really want?
Do you really want me?
Do you really want me dead?
Or alive to torture for my sins?

Do you really want?
[heart beat, a heart beat]
Do you really want me?
[I need a.. heart beat, a heart beat]
Do you really want me dead?
[you know I gotta leave, I can't stay,
I know I gotta go, I can't stay]
Or alive to live a lie?

Tell me would you kill to save for a life?
Tell me would you kill to prove you're right?
Crash, crash, burn let it all burn.

This hurricane's chasing us all underground.

You say you're wrong, you're wrong, I'm right, I'm right, you're wrong, we fight.
Ok, I'm running from the light, running from the day to night.
Oh, the quiet silence defines our misery.
The riot inside keeps trying to visit me.
No matter how we try, it's too much history.
Too many bad notes playing in our symphony.
So let it breathe, let it fly, let it go.
Let it fall, let it crash, burn slow.
And then you call upon God.
Oh you call upon God.

Tell me would you kill to save for a life?
Tell me would you kill to prove you're right?
Crash, crash, burn let it all burn.
This hurricane chasing us all underground.

This hurricane...(x5)

Do you really want?
Do you really want me?
Do you really want me dead?
Or alive to torture for my sins?

Do you really want?
Do you really want me?
Do you really want me dead?
Or alive to live a lie.

Running away from the night, running away from the light.
Running away to save you're life.

Life Grants Nothing To Us Mortals Without Hard Work

Today is...my 3rd month at work! Happy 3rd monthsary, work! Hehe.

The top 10 reasons why I like my job: (take note I used the word like and not love. Love is a strong word that should not be thrown around without caution, as they say.)

1. It's marketing. After my stints in sales and advertising, it's finally marketing. And I am learning a lot everyday.
2. The company is secured.
3. My boss is great. She appreciates all our hard work--big or small. And she's not a slacker. She teaches us well on how to go about our jobs but at the same time leaves a lot of room for our own ideas.
4. My office is near Eastwood.
5. It only costs me 50 pesos to go to and from the office. (El cheapo!)
6. My lunch also costs 50 pesos unless we decided to eat out.
7. Everyday is a fashion challenge!
8. Facebook is part of my job. I'm required to log in at Facebook every effin' day.
9. Gadgets.
10. I have the best colleagues! I'm lucky to be surrounded by these young, smart and creative people. Woohoo!

Meet the gang:

Celine, Annie, Juanito, Weng, Ged, Pawi and me!

Up North

As I've mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I took a trip up north to Pangasinan and Baguio with some friends. It was lovely, considering that the last time I went to Baguio, I was still a teenager.

Boot Camp

I have always planned on getting myself a good pair of slouchy, flat boots. You can only guess what happened next when I saw this post in Facebook by Forever 21 Philippines.

Musings On A Friday Afternoon

What I'm lovin' now:

1. Strawberries and warm Nutella
I spent the last weekend of November up north in Baguio with some friends and got strawberries for pasalubong. Dipped them in warm Nutella and--ah, insta-fondue!

2. More Lomo iPhone App.
Nah, I don't use an iPhone but this application is just awesome. Some of my friends have it in their iPhones.

3. FrostWire.
Helloooooo LimeWire!

4. Florals
Fashionably speaking, I'm currently hooked with florals!

That's it.
